Heading A5E. {Also in Division C2] Herbicidal and fungicidal compositions comprise as active ingredient a compound of a general formula: wherein R represents an alkyl, alkenyl, halogenalkyl, cyanoalkyl, carboxyalkyl, carboxyalkenyl, carbalkoxyalkyl, carbalkoxyalkenyl, carboxamidoalkyl, thiocyanatoalkyl, isocyanatoalkyl or isothiocyanatoalkyl group and X represents a hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom and Y represents a fluorine, bromine or iodine atom, the nitrile or the thiocyanate group. The compositions may also contain one or more of wetting agents, emulsifiers, dispensing agents,; adhesives, binder and pesticides together with surface active agents. The compositions may be in the form of sprays, empulsifiers or concentrates, wettable powders or dusts. Many active ingredients and diluents are specified.
