1,190,910. Herbicides containing dithiocarbamates. KUMIAI CHEMICAL INDUSTRY CO. Ltd. 18 Jan., 1967, No. 26376/69. Divided out of 1,171,342. Heading A5E. [Also in Division C2] Herbicidal compositions comprise as active ingredient benzyl N-substituted dithiocarbamates of the general formula: wherein R, is a hydrogen atom, a benzl or phenyl radical, and R 2 is a benzyl or phenyl radical; and when R 1 is any one of a benzyl or phenyl radical, R 2 stands for the same radical as R 1 together with an inert solid or liquid diluent. Specified active ingredients are benzyl N,N-diphenyl-dithiocarbamate, benzyl N,N- dibenzyl-dithiocarbamate, benzyl N-phenyldithiocarbamate and benzyl N-benzyl-dithiocarbamate. Insecticides, mitecides, fungicides, other herbicides, fertilizers and plant growth regulants may also be incorporated in the compositions.
