Game apparatus comprises 'a board or sheet 10 bearing lines dividing the board into a plurality of squares and/or rectangles 12, each end of the board being marked with an area 13 respresenting a goal area and an area 14 representing a penalty area and each half of the board or .sheet having a number of distinctively marked squares or rectangles 15, a plurality of .gaming pieces for each player of the game which are initially placed on said distinctive squares or rectangles, a rotatable disc 18 bearing on its upper surface a 'series of numbers ,24 spaced around its periphery and rotatable relative to fixed mark or indicator 25, each number having one or more pairs of factors and the pieces on the board being moved by the players up or down and across the board by amounts equal to the pair or pairs of factors of a number brought in line with the mark or indicator. The surface of the board may contain illustrations depicting a football, hockey or netball match. Eight or more pieces may be provided .for each player and the pieces and the rotatable disc are suitably formed of a plastics material. A check card may be included .indicating all of the possible pairs of factors of the numbers contained on said disc, which suitably are the products of a pair or pairs of numbers ranging from 2 to 12, so that the game is useful in teaching children the multiplication tables. The rotatable disc 18 is suitably provided with a bearing member 19 rotatable on a pin (20) (Fig. 4, not reproduced) upstanding from a 'base' member (21) from' which is supported a flat upper wall (22) having a central aperture (23) through .'which the disc can be viewed.
