1,190,232. Oil-extended polymers. SEMPERIT OSTERREICKISCH-AMERIKANISCHE GUMMIWERKE A.G. 4 May, 1967 [5 May, 1966], No. 20751/67. Headings C3P and C3Q. An unvulcanized cis.1,4-polybutadiene or a rubbery styrene-butadiene copolymer (which may be oil-extended) has added thereto at least one aromatic nitroso compound and/or organic peroxide and plasticizing mineral oil in an amount of 5 to 50 parts by weight per part by weight of said nitroso and/or peroxide compound. The rubbery component may also comprise a natural or synthetic polyisoprene rubber. The compositions may be mixed with fillers and vulcanized.
