Abstract

1,190,174. Screening machines. KALKER TRIEURFABRIK und FABRIK GELOCHTER BLECHE MAYER & CIE K.G. 12 Nov., 1968, No. 53694/68. Heading B2H. A multi-stage screening machine comprises a number of superposed perforated screens 9 which are provided with radially extending upright baffle strips the bases being freely mounted on a central shaft 3 and are each provided with a cam follower 13 which cooperates with a cam 6 to impart a limited rotary to-and-fro movement to the screen. Collecting trays 24 are mounted below the screens and are swept by discharge members 24 which are connected to brushes 22 which bear against the underside of each screen the brushes and discharge members being fixed to shaft 3 and rotatable therewith. Material is fed by means of a supply duct 8 to tubes 10 which serve as a central feed duct.
