Abstract

1,189,647. Baling machines. MASSEYFERGUSON-PERKINS Ltd. 24 May, 1967 [25 May, 1966], No. 23264/66. Heading B5F. The delivery end 13 of a baling chamber is adapted to selectively receive one of a plurality of interchangeable bale-forming devices. The conventional bale former (14) of Fig. 1 (not shown), can thus be readily replaced by an upwardly curved bale former (16), Fig. 2 (not shown), having a delivering shoot (17), or a bale thrower (19, 20), Fig. 3 (not shown). The bale chamber and bale former are secured together by bolts 30a and pins 30 passing through apertures in channels 29 on the bale former 14 and lugs 28 on the bale chamber. Bale-tying mechanism (22) may be provided to tie the bales when located in the curved bale-forming device.
