Abstract

1,189,213. Bearings. POLLARD BEARINGS Ltd. 1 July, 1967, No. 30444/67. Heading F2A. An annular cage of plastics material contains two rings of slots 12, 13, one ring radially within the other, each ring of slots opening into a respective circumferential and end face of the cage, and portions of the slots overlapping to form roller receiving pockets. The side faces of the slots 12, 13 have areas 12A, 13A mutually inclined. The rollers are inserted radially inwardly into the cage with a snap action, the areas 12A, 13A then retaining the rollers in both radial directions. The side faces of the slots may be curved.
