Abstract

1,188,187. Gating circuits; keying carrier frequencies. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 7 June, 1968 [8 June, 1967], No. 26521/67. Headings H3R and H3T. A transistor gating circuit, more particularly for radio-frequency signals, comprises a first differential amplifier having gating means to interrupt an energizing path therefor and a second amplifier having a transistor constant current supply circuit, the second amplifier being arranged to cancel in-phase gating components appearing at the output of the first. As shown the gating is effected by switching the constant current tail transistor Tr3 of the first amplifier circuit. In Fig. 2, not shown, a gating transistor Tr7 diverts the constant current away from the transistors of the first amplifier.
