Abstract

[Also in Division H1] A rail-mounted terminal block comprises independent units which each comprise an insulative body 1 which is slotted at 16 to receive a bus-bar 5 which is clamped to a terminal 4 having tongue 20 to which a sleeve 8 may be clamped to interconnect terminal 4 anda second terminal 6, sleeve 8 being slidable along a conductive strip 7 to a position indicated in dotted lines, whereby the two terminals are isolated. A leaf spring 11 ensures that sleeve 8, when unclamped, does not accidentally slide. Terminal 4, of sheet-metal, is of inverted U-shape, and has bent over edges 19 (18, Fig. 3, not shown) for initially locating busbar 5.
