Abstract
1,185,360. Nuclear power plant. M. D. L. MASON. 13 Aug., 1968 [18 Aug., 1967], No. 38281/67. Heading G6C. [Also in Division F1] Energy is imparted to the air stream of an air breathing jet-propulsion engine by passing the air stream through a grille of parallel plates of alternate electrical polarity. The air is thus heated and is expanded through a propulsion nozzle. The source of electrical energy is a fast-breeder nuclear reactor associated with a turbo-alternator.
