Abstract

1,184,347. Moulding sunglasses. HORNFENG YAU. 27 Feb., 1968 [20 Dec., 1966], No. 56884/66. Heading B5A. [Also in Division G2] A pair of e.g. sunglasses or welders glasses has its frame 1 and lens portions 3 formed as a single integral unit from transparent coloured thermoplastics material by a moulding process. The lens portions are thinner than the frame which thus appears darker than the lens portions. Bosses 4 are provided for receiving a hinge pin 5 to receive side pieces 7. The spectacles may be made of polystyrene, or of a polyvinyl material, or of acrylic resin.
