Abstract

1,183,973. Photo-copying machine; optical apparatus. VOLPI A.G. May 31, 1967 [June 1, 1966], No.25207/67. Headings G2A; G2J and G2H. A photo-copying machine comprises (i) glass fibres for transmitting light from the original to the light-sensitive copy sheet (ii) a source of light and (iii) glass fibres for transmitting light from the light source to the original, fibres (i) and (ii) being orientated or being capable of being orientated so that light from (iii) is directly reflected from the original to (i). The ends of the transmission fibres (i) may be arranged as shown in Figs. 3, 4 and 6. The machine apparatus may be used for producing photographic thermographic or xerographic prints using monochromatic light or light of the whole visible spectrum. Each line of illuminating fibres may be arranged to provide a different coloured monochromatic illumination, e.g. in complementary colours which may be projected simultaneously or in alternation.
