1,183,113. Insecticides containing phenyl isothiocyanates. MONSANTO CHEMICALS Ltd. 15 May, 1968 [1 June, 1967], No. 25285/67. Heading A5E. [Also in Division C2] Insecticidal compositions comprise as active ingredient phenyl isothiocyanate derivatives of the general formula: in which X is a halogen atom, e.g. chlorine or bromine and R is a hydrocarbyl radical containing at least 2 carbon atoms, e.g. an alkyl group having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, each of n and m is an integer of at least 1 and the sum of n and m is from 2 to 5, in admixture with a diluent or carrier. The compositions may be in solid or liquid, e.g. solution, dispersion or emulsion or aerosol form. Specified active ingredient 3-chloro-4-ethoxyphenyl isothiocyanate.
