Abstract

1,182,108. Electric meters. MANTEL METALWORKERS Ltd. Sept.19, 1968 [June 22, 1967], No. 28968/67. Heading G1Q. A consumers control unit box accommodating an electricity meter and also containing fuses and switches is mounted on the inside of a wall of a building and has an inside accessible via a movable cover from inside the building. A duct extends from the box so as to be able to pass through the wall and enable the inside of the box, particularly the meter, to be viewed from outside the building. The duct is telescopic, to enable it to be adjusted to the wall thickness. The meter may be situated in a sealable removable compartment within the box.
