Abstract

1,181,775. N-Cyclohexyl sulphamic acid. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 30 Oct., 1968 [21 Nov., 1967], No. 51390/68. Heading C2C. N-Cyclohexyl amidosulphonic acid is obtained by mixing a urea of the formula wherein R is cyclohexyl and R' is H or cyclohexyl, in a first stage with at least the equimolar quantity of SO 3 or of a compound that gives off SO 3 and, in a second stage with a quantity of oleum containing at least the equimolar quantity of SO 3 , both stages being carried out in the presence of an inert organic diluent at a temperature in the range from - 20‹ to 140‹ C. An example is given which illustrates this process.
