Abstract

1,180,945. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. ABEX CORP. Jan. 31, 1967 [March 1, 1966], No.4757/67. Heading G3P. A two-stage servovalve has the armature 33, 34 of a torque motor 1 secured to the free end 52 of a coaxial torque tube 54 and the angular movement is transmitted by shaft 65, angled radias arm 67 and tube 77 to a point on a cantilevered jet tube 85 nearer to the free end of the latter. The torque motor has polepieces 11, 12 secured to housing 4 by screws 38 passed through clamp plate 39 and polarizing magnet 8. Lateral spacers 19, 20 locate the components, the gaps being filled with an epoxy resin. Adjustable stops 51 limit armature movement, the solderless conical clamping for rules connect the armature to the torque tube and the latter to housing 4. The jet tube co-operates with receiving orifices (93, 94) to position second stage spool valve 110, movement of the latter being fed back to the jet tube via spring 125.
