Abstract
1,177,209. Sintered carbide alloys. DEUTSCHE EDELSTAHLWERKE AG. Aug.9, 1968 [Nov. 10, 1967], No.38117/68. Heading C7A. A sintered hard carbide alloy with high wear resistance to abrasion and erosion, for pressing dies, mixer blades, sand blasting nozzles and grinding balls, comprises:- the balance being an austenitic steel or a steel hardenable by transformation and/or by the precipitation of intermetallic phases in which the steel contains 1À2-15% Mn. Examples of suitable alloys are given some of which are in the quenched and tempered state.
