Abstract
1,176,934. Cleaning creels for winding machines. FAN SYSTEMS Ltd. 8 May, 1967 [28 June, 1966], No. 28950/66. Headings D1F and D1J. A creel for a winding machine accommodates bobbins on trays, disposed at the same level around, but perhaps different distances from the vertical axis of a supporting pole and carried on radially projecting arms. The supply yarns are withdrawn through guides e.g. eyelets, each supported by a bar vertically above the centre of a tray. The pole and the arms and bars are surrounded by a conduit 21, radial ducts 24, inlet pipes 25 spaced therefrom to form interconnected passages for dust &c.- laden air in the regions of ballooning yarns to flow through the open ends of pipes 25, perforations in the undersides of the trays leading to ducts 24, and the open ends of hollow radially projecting fins 22 and 23, which may be of different length, into conduit 21 thence via a connection at 21A to suction and air filtering apparatus (not shown).
