Abstract

1,176,118. Printing synthetic polyamides. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 26 April, 1968 [29 April, 1967], No. 19952/68. Heading D1B. Multicolour effects are produced on textiles of synthetic polyamides by printing the polyamides with a printing paste containing a water-soluble non-dyeing sulpherised phenol at pH 3-7 and fixing by steam followed by treatment with an acid dye or a mixture of any two or three of an acid dye, disperse dye and basic dye in aqueous neutral or weakly acid bath. The steaming is preferably effected at 100-105‹C and dyeing is preferably at 70-85‹C at a high goods-to-liquor ratio.
