1,176,094. Lubricant composition. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. 26 July, 1968, No. 35734/68. Heading C5F. A lubricant comprises by wt. (a) a major proportion of a mineral lubricant oil; (b) 0.001 to 5% of at least one bis-(alkylhydroxyphenyl) alkane, at least one bis-(aminophenyl) alkane, at least one bis-(alkylaminophenyl) alkane or at least one alkylphenol; (c) 0-001 to 0.1% of at least one hydrocarbon succinic anhydride, acid or ester; and (d) 0-001 to 5% of at least one homopolymer or copolymer of esters of an acrylic acid and a C 4 -C 20 alkanol. The composition may also contain 0À001-0À1% by wt. of at least one organotin compound having at least one C-Sn bond, e.g. di-n-butyltin dilamate.
