Abstract

1,175,191. Laminated packaging material. ROBINSON WAXED PAPER CO. Ltd. 16 Dec., 1966 [16 Dec., 1965], No. 53436/65. Heading B5N. [Also in Division B8] A composite packaging material comprises a first layer of fibrous material, laminated by means of a second layer to a third, backing, layer. As described the first and third layers are of paper, that of the third layer being of heavier quality than that of the first layer, and the second layer is of polyethylene. Alternatively, the third layer is of board, film, or foil. Two sheets of the material may be sealed together along three edges with their first layers inwards to form a bag, or one sheet with its first layer inwards may be sealed at its edges to a semi-transparent polyethylene coated film, or to a film of non-heat-sealable material pattern coated with heat-sealable material, to form a container, an article being situated between the sheet and the film.
