Abstract

[Also in Division H4] A loud-speaker diaphragm 25 (Fig. 2) is made by clamping a titanium sheet 20 between two stepped rings 21, 22 to place the clamped area under tension, and applying a flat-ended punch 23 centrally to the clamped area in a direction normal to its plane to deform the area into a cone having a circular cross-section and a hyperbolic curve in radial section.
