1,174,844. Preparation of metal salts of bisdithiocarbamic acid. SOC. ITALIANA RESINE S.p.A. 9 Aug., 1967 [29 Aug., 1966], No. 36544/67. Heading C2C. Ethylene bisdithiocarbamate and/or propylene bisdithiocarbamate of zinc, copper, manganese or iron is prepared by precipitation from a mixture of an aqueous solution of a watersoluble salt of the desired metal and an aqueous solution of an alkali metal or ammonium ethylene and/or propylene bisdithiocarbamate followed by ageing of the resulting precipitate, at least one surfactant being added during precipitation and/or ageing. The surfactant may be an alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal alkyl aryl sulphonate, alkylphenolsulphonate or ligninsulphonate.
