Abstract

1,174,771. Model vehicles. MECCANO Ltd. 8 May, 1967 [6 May, 1966], No. 20234/66. Addition to 984,782. Heading A6S. In a toy vehicle, as specified in Specification 984,782, each light bulb is secured in a light guide 14, 15 interposed between and conforming to the shape of the upper and lower body portions. The light guides are render opaque at their visible edges, preferably by vacuum plating with aluminium, except at the corners 18. Each light guide has an enlarged section 19, 20 with recesses for light bulbs 21, 22. The clip unit for the battery is typically fixed to the seat unit attached to the upper body portion, and preferably is so shaped as to provide contacts for one pole of the battery and for both light bulbs. The means for causing intermittent lighting of the light bulbs is typically a cam 27 on a wheel axle 26 which intermittently engages a conducting spring member.
