Abstract

1,174,592. Cutting tools. WICKMAN WIMET Ltd. 10 April, 1967 [14 April, 1966], No. 16344/66. Heading B3T. A cutting tool comprises a tool holder 15 and a cutting insert 11, the insert having a pair of opposite faces which intersect with peripheral sides, one face of which rests on the tool holder and the other face 13 forms, by intersection with an irregularly shaped side 14 of the insert, an irregularly shaped cutting edge 12. The insert has a hole 19 therein which extends from said one face and in which a pin 22 engages and by the action of a screw 23 effects clamping of the insert between the pin and an abutment on the holder.
