Abstract

1,174,227. Devices for lifting concrete castings. T. WAERNER. 7 Oct., 1968 [5 Oct., 1967], No. 47537/68. Heading B8H. To lift a block of concrete, or similar casting, a bolt 2, Fig. 1, is inserted into a tubular member 8, Fig. 2, which is embedded in the load object, and a locking pin 12, Fig. 3, is inserted through a second tubular member 9 into an oblique bore 6 in the bolt 2. The embedded tubes 8, 9 are of plastics material and a pin 7 on the bolt 2 co-operates with a channel in the member 8 to ensure alignment of the bore 6 and the tube 9. Anchoring irons 13, Fig. 2, are provided. Members 8, 9 are joined together. The bolt 2 and tube 8 may be other than circular in cross-section.
