Abstract
1,173,811. Vascular prosthetic devices. MEADOX MEDICALS Inc. 28 Feb., 1967, No. 9475/67. Heading A5R. [Also in Division D1] A vascular prosthetic implant consists of a simple or branched tube woven, knitted, or braided from filaments of animal origin and synthetic filaments. The implant has initially a low porosity, which increases to a high value as the animal fibres are absorbed, leaving an open mesh fabric of the synthetic filaments. The animal fibres may be continuous filaments of regenerated collagen, collafil, catgut, or human fibrin. U.S.A. Specifications 2,978,787, 2,748,774, 2,747,228, and 2,637,321 are referred to.
