Abstract
1,173,621. Ventilating devices. LUNA A.G. 10 Feb., 1967 [14 Feb., 1966], No. 6438/67. Heading F4V. Detachable, prismatic, air deflection and drop-separating members 15 (constituting air outlets) and blanking members 14, are arranged in openings 9 formed in the side walls 19 of a distribution duct 10 carrying super-saturated air, the members 14 and 15 being inter-changeable with one another so that the number and location of the air outlets from the duct may be varied as required. In the form shown the members 14, 15 are movable from the duct by pivoting them about a flange 33 which, in conjunction with a further flange 31, also serves to support the members in their operative position in which they are retained by their own weight. The duct 10 is formed from abutting sheet metal sections of equal length, see Fig. 1, and is suspended from a ceiling by support members 13 located at the abuttment points 24 of the sections. At these points also, are stay members 25 which define the ends of the openings 9. Each air outlet member 15 comprises a series of spaced sheetmetal plates 44, Fig. 5, adapted to deflect the air and separate out the water droplets, the water draining via ports 48, Fig. 3, not shown and Fig. 5, to a trough 18 formed at the bottom wall of the duct section 10, from which it is directed to a conditioning unit 50 for the air. An adjustable damper 51, Fig. 5, may be provided to control each air outlet.
