Abstract

1,173,473. Photographic printing apparatus. AGFA-GEVAERT A.G. Sept. 26, 1967 [Sept. 28, 1966], No. 43765/67. Heading G2A. A photographic printing apparatus for use with strip film originals 7 includes a base plate 1 defining a longitudinal path for the film, a pair of clamping elements for each longitudinal edge of the film for holding the film in a printing station, and elements, e.g. rollers 16, 17, arranged transversely of the path for locally deflecting the film from the path so that it takes up a sufficiently plane configuration for printing. The clamping elements consist of rails (8-11, Fig. 2, not shown), two carried by each of two apertured portions 5, 6. The upper portion 6 is attached by spacing members 14, 15 to two pivoted levers 4 which also carry the rollers 16, 17, the portion 6 being pivoted out of contact with the portion 5 to insert and advance the film. The portion 5 carries guides rollers 12, 13 each having a reduced diameter in the centre.
