A device for the shaping of parts of garments by means of heat includes an elastic conveyer belt 7 provided between a compression plate 3, on which an elastic diaphragm 4 is mounted in an airtight manner, and a heated moulding tool 5, with an elastic ironing cloth 6 attached to it, a compressed air conduit 13 being built into the compression plate. Synthetic or natural fabric cut-outs 1 and 2 may be adhered and shaped by the device. Adhesive may be employed and chemicals may be used to fix permanently the shape of the layers. The moulding tool 5 may be provided with marking grooves for indicating on the fabric where pockets are to be placed. Templates corresponding to different sizes of garment may be placed on the diaphragm.
