Abstract
1,172,501. Automatic voltage control. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. Jan.13, 1967 [Jan. 28, 1966], No.4029/66. Heading G3R. An electrical power supply regulation arrangement comprises a voltage booster 1 for injecting a boost voltage V2 into a D.C. input voltage V1, the voltage V2 having a magnitude dependent upon the combined D.C. output voltage V1 + V2; the boost voltage is derived by rectification of an A.C. output voltage V3 produced by a static inverter 2, and the booster 1 includes a transductor having a control winding to which is applied a signal derived from a sensing device 3 responsive to variations in the output voltage V1 + V2 Fig.3 (not shown). The inverter may supply boost power only, as shown in Fig.1, or it may supply both boost power and a regulated A.C. output Figs.2, 4, 5 and 6 (not shown).
