Abstract

1,171,815. Ball firing mechanism. P. MEIG and H. MEIG. 30 Nov., 1967 [3 Dec., 1966], No. 54648/67. Heading A6H. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, a ball firing mechanism for delivering balls onto the play area of a table-top game comprise a manually loadable magazine 2, a discharge track or chute 3, preferably provided with a resilient extension 8, a swivel bearing 6 permitting rotation about a vertical axis, and a pistol grip 1 and trigger 11 provided with cocking lever 13, spring 14 and locking hook 21 connected to the trigger, the trigger being anchored by spring 16. The ball is fired by pulling the trigger which compresses the spring against ball 20 and in continued actuation releases hook 21 to allow delivery of the ball down the track or chute. The firing action is noisless and the apparatus may be made of plastics.
