Abstract

1,171,405. Stud and socket fasteners. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. 19 March, 1968 [16 May, 1967], No. 22683/67. Heading E2B. A device for detachably securing two apertured members a b to one another comprises a cylindrical housing 1 having a wall closing one end and an interned flange at the opposite end, a plunger 4 mountedin the housing 1 for sliding and rotational movement, and having one end projecting from the one end of the housing and being slidable against a spring 8 outwardly of the housing, a collar being provided on the opposite end of the plunger, the projecting end 5 of the plunger having laterally projecting means 6 thereon, wherein, when the plunger is inserted through aligned apertures 12 in the members to position one end 2 of the housing in abutment with one of the members and to position the projecting means 6 at the outer face of the other member, the plunger is rotatable to position the projecting means 6 in overlapping abutting relation to portions of the second member b adjacent the aperture 12 therein.
