A menthol inhalant device simulating a cigarette or cigar, has a white polystyrene tube 1, a nylon mouthpiece 3 spigoted or screwed into the tube, a stick 9 of menthol (alternatively, menthol crystals or mentholated cotton wool) cushioned between two plugs 8 of plastics foam or cotton wool, a polystyrene closure piece 5, grey and faintly striated on the surface to simulate ash, held to the plastics foam by a spike 6, a disk 7 of bright yellow metal foil simulating incandescence and air holes 10. In another construction, air is admitted through radial slots in an integral closed top. Compression of the mouthpiece spigot against the plastics foam can serve to control the through-flow of air.
