Traction engines, steam.-The horizontal frame 1 has front steering wheels 4 or a roller 5 and rear driving-wheels 3, the boiler 6, which is vertical and fired from the side, being placed low down between the front and rear wheels and behind the engine 12. The engine drives the rear wheels by chain gearing from the valve-operating cam-shaft 14. A water tank 18 is arranged over the rear axle.
