An air compression system on a motor vehicle, particularly for operating brakes, suspension units and pneumatic door operators, comprises an air compressor 1, an oil and moisture separator 6 and air cylinders 2, 3, 4 supplied through non-return valves 14. The separator includes a filter 11 and is connected through passages 9 and 10 with a condensing drum 7. In a modification, Fig. 2, the filter and condensing drum are of unitary construction.
