1,167,618. Fluid-pressure brakes. KNORR-BREMSE G.m.b.H. 7 April, 1967 [7 April, 1966], No. 16171/67. Heading F2F. In a railway vehicle compressed air braking system including a driver's brake valve arrangement having an electro-pneumatically pre-controlled pressure regulator 12 in which the adjusting spindle 11 of the pressure regulator 12 is coupled via gearing 10 to an electric motor 9, a regulating valve 15 is adapted to be energized only by an automatic electrical control unit 20 and connected between the pressure regulator 12 and a relay valve 19 for supervizing the main air pipe pressure in the train pipe H L . A limit switch 13, which is combined with pressure regulator 12, is connected in a circuit of the regulating valve 15 and is closed in one end position of the pressure regulating valve 15. The output of the pressure regulator 12 is connected by a pipe line 16 to the electrically controlled regulating valve 15 and, in turn, via a pipe line 17 to a balancing reservoir 18 to control input of the relay valve 19. The relay valve 19 is supplied with compressed air from the main reservoir pipe line H B and controls the pressure in the train pipe H L leading to the conventional apparatus for operating compressed air brakes (not shown). The other units described in the Specification actuate in a manner described in Specification 1,167,619.
