Abstract

1,166,816. Anchoring bolts. BERGWERKSVERBAND G.m.b.H. 19 Oct., 1966 [27 Nov., 1965], No. 46836/66. Heading F2H. A consolidating rod c is formed by a tube b filled with, e.g. cement, having an unsymmetrical tip at one end and an enlarged head at the other, and is fixed in a hole by a mixture of polyester resin, accelerator, and finely granulated filler in an amount in the ratio of approximately 100 to 400% of the weight of the resin, contained in one compartment of a paper or cardboard destructible cartridge a, and a hardener contained in another compartment, the cartridge being destroyed by inserting the rod into the hole at 150 to 750 r.p.m. at a pressure of approximately 900 kg, and the resulting mixture being arranged to completely fill the annular space between the smooth external surface of the rod and the hole, the clearance being approximately 1À5 mm. After hardening of the mixture a base-plate is screwed to the projecting end of the rod. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 953,056.
