Abstract

1,166,237. Valves. HOERBIGER VENTILWERKE A.G. 9 Jan., 1968 [28 Feb., 1967], No. 1220/68. Heading F2V. A suction valve for a piston-type compressor has a valve plate 5 between a valve seat 1 and a valve guard 2 and biased against the seat by arms 8 of a spring plate 6. The plate 5 is formed of a plurality of concentric rings 17 joined by radial webs 18 and divided into an outer and an inner area interconnected by flexible guides 21 formed by obliquely cutting webs 18. The inner area is also joined by flexible guides 20 to a hub 19 which is clamped between a ring 7 and the valve seat. The inner area is movable axially of the valve relative to the outer area and is movable off the seat by lifting pins 9 actuatedthrough springs 11 by a plate 12 on a bushing 13 in turn actuated by a plunger 15.
