Abstract

1,166,183. Heel garment. S. HAIG. 25 Jan., 1967 [8 April, 1966], No. 3696/67. Heading A3B. [Also in Division A5] A heel garment to be worn with a backless shoe comprises a shaped heel portion 3 and an integral band 4 which passes over the instep. The fabric of the garment is preferable slightly elastic and it may be designed to match the shoe. The garment may have a fabric body with an elastic top (19), Fig. 5 (not shown), or may be made entirely of rubber, leather &c. A zipper (21) or laces (24), Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), may be incorporated in the garment. In an alternative embodiment the garment does not have a portion passing over the instep but clings to the heel and is held by an elastic strap 13 fastened to a metal or elastic ring 15.
