Abstract

1,163,053. Olefin polymer compositions. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 16 March, 1967 [16 March, 1966], No. 12359/67. Addition to 1,156,813. Heading C3P. Compositions comprise by weight (A) 75 to 98.5% of crystalline polypropylene or polyallomer or copolymer of propylene having a density of at least 0.89 g./ml. and a melt flow rate of 1 to 30 g./10 mini., (B) 0À5 to 10% of a crystalline polyethylene or ethylene copolymer having a density of at least 0.93 g./ml. and a melt index of 1 to 20 g./10 mins., and (C) 1 to 15% of an amorphous ethylene/propylene copolymer or ethylene/propylene terpolymer containing up to 10 weight per cent of hydrocarbon diene or other α-olefin units, having an ethylene content of 20 to 80 weight per cent, an inherent viscosity of 0À3 to 0À9 and a second order transition temperature not higher than - 25‹ C. The compositions may contain conventional additives and may be made into films, e.g. for packaging.
