Abstract

1,162,974. Extruding. DAVY & UNITED ENG. CO. Ltd. 19 Aug., 1966 [30 Sept., 1965], No. 41481/65. Divided out of 1,162,973. Heading B3P. A metal extrusion press has its container 25 mounted for rotation about an axis normal to the extrusion axis and both ends of the container are shaped to be used adjacent the die. The container 25 is mounted in a holder 24 rotatable about a vertical axis in a yoke 18 and lockable in the extrusion position by plungers 56 which engage in slots 57. The container is reversed after a number of extrusions have been performed.
