[Also in Division H2] A pump or compressor comprises rotor blades 9 carried by the external rotor 7 of the electric driving motor. The motor stator 4 is carried by a stationaryshaft 5 on which the rotor 7 is journalled, Power is supplied to the stator via supply leads 6 running through a passage within the shaft. In addition, the power may be fed to the rotor via slip rings. The space between the rotor 7 and the stator 4 is filled with oil. Stator blades may be provided on the inside of the casing 1.
