Cladding structure comprises a framework of mullions 2 spanned by transoms 3 to form a frame with a continuous rib 5 and infill panels 12, 13 and 14 fitted thereto by means of gaskets 15 extending around the periphery of the panels and engaging the ribs 5. During prop advance, ram 3 is collapsed by the rope 6 to a position ready for a succeeding advance of conveyor 2.
