Abstract

1521970 Mine roof supports MASTA BAR MINING EQUIPMENT CO Ltd 17 Oct 1975 [19 Oct 1974] 45337/74 Heading E1P A mine roof support comprises a base, a rigid canopy 12 supported on hydraulic props 13, (14), 15, (16), a canopy extension 7 hinged to the rigid canopy 12 and adjustable by a lever 38 pivoted at 35 in the rigid canopy 12, and at least one further hydraulic prop 179 connected to the free end of the canopy extension 17. The canopy extension comprises a pair of parallel beams 36 joined by a cross member which carries the further hydraulic prop 179. The lever 38 is controlled by a piston and cylinder arrangement 45.
