Abstract
1.158,257. Hydrogenation catalysts. STANDARD OIL CO. 7 Dec., 1966, No. 54826/66. Heading B1E. [Also in Division C5] Hydrogenation catalysts comprise a Group VI A metal and a Group VIII metal on a solid inorganic oxide containing Al 2 O 3 of surface area 300-500m<SP>2</SP>/gm. and average pore diameter 100-200Š. The catalyst is preferably CoMoO 4 or Al 2 O 3 containing 1-50% of a synthetic zeolite. Prior to use the catalyst may be reduced in a hydrogenation containing gas.
