1324205 Catalyst UNION OIL CO OF CALIFORNIA 17 Aug 1971 38635/71 Heading B1E [Also in Division C5] A hydrogenator catalyst which comprises a) carrier of micellis of silica-alumina cogel dispersed in a large-pore, high pore volume alumina gel matrix with an exchange capacity of 0.01 to 0.5 meg/gm, a surface area of 200 to 700 m<SP>2</SP>/gm and a pore volume of 0.8 to 2.0 ml/gm with 0.15 to 1.4 ml/gm of said pore volume being diameters greater than 500Š and b) cation-exchanged platinum group metal.
