Abstract

1,156,684. Cutting py fusion. MESSER GRIESHEIM G.m.b.H. 26 Sept., 1966 [24 Sept., 1965], No. 42846/66. Heading B3V. A cross-carriage type flame cutting machine has a vertically movable cutting torch 2 carried by a housing 1 detachably secured to an upper carriage member 8 of the machine by a pair of grooves 9, 10 in the latter which are engaged by supporting projections such as 17, 20 in the housing. Two upper projections (16), 17, Fig. 2 (not shown), have hemispherical bearing surfaces and the lower projection is provided by a screw 20 with a hemispherical end 15. Adjusting screws (22), 23, Fig. 2 (not shown), are also provided.
