Abstract
1,156,198. Automatic voltage control. TESLA NARODNI PODNIK. Nov. 21, 1966 [Nov. 25, 1965], No. 51937/66. Heading G3R. A circuit arrangement for stabilizing the output of an oscillator 1 comprises a comparator 5 which receives an input from the oscillator by way of an amplifier 2, a rectifier 3 and a filter 4 and which produces a control signal in dependence upon variations in the amplitude of the oscillator output, this control signal being fed back to the oscillator 1 by way of a transistor having its emitter and collector electrodes connected as shown to voltage dividers R3, R4 and R1, R2 associated with the supply source +, - for the oscillator 1 which is connected across the resistor R1. The arrangement is such that the operating voltage across R1 is modified in a corrective sense by the control signal from the transistor; this signal by virtue of the association of the transistor with the voltage divider R3, R4, includes a component which varies inversely with variations of the supply voltage whereby such variations are automatically compensated for. Resistor R3 or R4 may be made temperaturedependent so that compensation for variation in temperature is also effected automatically.
