Abstract

1,154,357. Printing inks. G. MATHELIN. 8 July, 1966 [2 Aug., 1965], No. 30813/66. Heading C4A. A printing ink contains an anti-stain composition comprising a starch, a fluorohydrocarbon such as a telomer of tetra-fluoroethylene, and a volatile suspending agent such as a chlorine solvent, particularly trichlorotrifluoroethane. The anti-stain composition may constitute 6-9% by volume of the ink and may also include a polyethylene wax, a glycerophthalic acid resin, a silicone oil, petrol and/or linseed oil; it may be added during or after manufacture of the ink.
